- 1/3 cup sugar
- 2 1/2 tbsps cornstarch
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1/2 cup thick cream
- 2 tbsps unsalted butter, cut into bits
- 1 1/2 tsps pure vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup ALL GOLD connoisseur’s green fig preserve
- 1 tbsp brandy
- 1/2 tsp fresh lemon juice
Whisk together sugar, cornstarch, and a pinch of salt in a heavy medium saucepan, then whisk in milk and cream. Bring to a boil over medium heat, whisking frequently. Boil for one minute, whisking continuously. Remove from heat and whisk in butter and vanilla. Divide the mixture evenly among four glasses and chill in the fridge, uncovered, until cold (for at least one and a half hours). Stir together ALL GOLD connoisseur’s green fig preserve, brandy and lemon juice. Spoon this mixture over the top of the cooled puddings before serving.
Cut some fresh figs and place them on top of the puddings.
